Brittany Evans, LPC
Brittany is a Licensed Professional Counselor with The Heriford House. She graduated in 2019 with her Masters degree in Counseling. This may speak to a lack of experience to some but for her it just means her knowledge base is fresh. Despite the fact that she is a new graduate, she has a plethora of experience working with children and families. She has spent many years working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. Brittany has experience working with children as young as preschool aged, with challenging behaviors in the home, in the community and in the classroom. She also has experience working with teenage boys in the DYS/Juvenile Justice System creating goals and treatment plans for them to complete and return home to their families. Brittany is solution focused and uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy treatment approaches most often.
During her internship she gained experience helping married couples navigate their marriage struggles and restore their marriage, experience helping children with divorcing parents to adjust to their changing home life, coached parents on their journey to co-parent successfully and worked with individuals from all walks of life as they strive to grow on their journey.
Brittany is trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, and MST.
