Autumn Newby

       I believe in equipping others with the tools they need to feel individually empowered to face their life's circumstances and journey as a wholly capable individual. My goal is to assist my clients in achieving their goals through individualized counseling that meets their needs. Together, we will work to unmask the “daily character” presented to the world so that the inner self can come to the surface and thrive. I believe that when we are able to understand and embrace the many individual parts that make us up, we are able to live out a more fulfilling existence while presenting an authentic version of ourselves thus positively impacting the world we exist in. I enjoy working with teenagers and adults and have a passion for helping those who have experienced varying degrees of trauma. In my personal life, I greatly enjoy my relationships with others while also thriving as a proud “Nerd” and “Introvert”. Depending on the day, I generally consider myself to be a fantasy fiction bookworm, craft enthusiast, with a love of all things pumpkin spice and fall related. I love spending time growing spiritually, being in community, crafting, cooking, traveling, and gaining knowledge (the area of knowledge changes like Missouri weather!) My ideal day would include watching Harry Potter or The Lord of the Rings, curled up with a blanket, sipping a nice cup of coffee, while a homemade meal cooks in the crockpot. I am a proud “Ravenclaw'' with an affinity for Legos and an ever growing desire to be the most authentic version of me that I can achieve. I obtained a Master of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2017 and a Bachelor of Arts in Agriculture from Lincoln University in 2006. I am a National Certified Counselor under the National Board for Certified Counselors, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Missouri, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I look forward to helping you “wander” onto the path of becoming your authentic self.
