Jillian Nickelson

Jillian Nickelson is an associate with The Heriford House, who is under the direct supervision of  Aliscia S. Heard, LPC. Jillian graduated from Maryville University in St. Louis in August 2022
with her Master of Arts In Rehabilitation Counseling and previously her Bachelors in Psychology.
She has earned certifications in Rehabilitation (Career) Counseling and as a Registered
Behavioral Technician. She has experience working with a variety of individuals ages 5 to 85
years old with a wide range of identities who may struggle with anxiety, depression, behavioral &
emotional challenges, transitioning into the workforce, and individuals with intellectual and
developmental disabilities. She loves being able to support children, teens, and young adults!
Jilian primarily uses Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness along with an
individualized and solution focused technique. She wants to take a holistic approach assisting
you with reaching your goals and making desired changes to your life. She provides a safe and
affirming space for her clients to feel heard and supported throughout sessions. Jillian has an
interest in continuing to develop her education through EMDR training and continued skills
development to provide the best quality of care to her clients
